Cherry Drive Elementary School

I am the Teacher Librarian at Cherry Drive Elementary and have been working at this fantastic school for the past five years. It's fun to make characters come alive through reading. Before coming to Cherry Drive, I taught the fourth, fifth and sixth grades.

My undergraduate degree is from The University of Denver. Go Pioneers! While attending DU, I also spent part of my junior year in Sevilla, Spain. I think this is when I caught the travel bug. Imagine getting on a train in one country and waking up in another! My education didn't stop at a BA degree. I also have two Master degrees.

Education is something I've always been drawn to. I think it is one of the best jobs in the world.

A Few Fun Facts and Favorites About Ms. Larkin

F avorite Teacher: Mr. Haberthier. He was my fourth and sixth grade teacher. When he read aloud, we were entranced!

Favorite Pastime: Traveling! In fact, I have now been to six of the seven continents!

Favorite Color: Teal

Favorite Kids Book: Truthfully, I read so many, my favorites change with each page I turn!

Favorite animal: my dog
