I am the pm kindergarten teacher and also the school's reading interventionist. I have been at Cherry Drive for 3 years. Teaching has been my career for 14 years. In addition to teaching I am a mother of two wonderful boys who are 11 and 13. I have been married to Steve for 15 years. My family are natives to Thornton, Colorado.

I went to Metro State for my undergraduate work. I love learning and decided to continue my education by pursuing my Master's degree in literacy from Walden Universtiy. I have a passion for teaching kids to read. I think it comes from the fact that I love to read. One of my favorite parts of the day is read aloud. It is great to read great books to kids. The love of reading is the best gifts I can give my students.

When I am not teaching and being a mom I am riding roller coasters. My family and I travel the USA to ride the best, the fastest and the biggest roller coasters. It is an awesome hobby that we all enjoy. We have learned so much about the USA from our many roadtrips. Also, we have learned the science of roller coasters.
