Welcome to Cherry Drive Elementary! I am so excited to be part of the Cherry Drive Team and the theme “A Year of Discovery.” I will have the opportunity to “discover” alongside Mrs. Hepp, our students, teachers, parents, and community members.
My name is Christine Jepsen. This is my twelfth year in public education and my first year in Adams 12. I grew up in Florida and graduated from the University of North Florida with my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education. I began my career as a third grade teacher in Jacksonville, Florida. I was convinced that public education was going to be the way of life for me, and entered the Educational Leadership program at University of North Florida to become a public school administrator. After completing my degree I decided to move to the beautiful state of Colorado.
After arriving in Colorado, I taught fifth grade in Littleton Public Schools. Then I spent my last two years in the classroom teaching 6th grade at Bear Canyon Elementary in Douglas County School District. I then was given the opportunity to work as an Assistant Principal at Eldorado Elementary in Douglas County for the last 4 years. My career as a teacher and administrator has been one of my most rewarding accomplishments. When I am not at Cherry Drive Elementary or Centennial Elementary I enjoy biking, traveling, reading, being outdoors, and spending time with family.
I am anxious to work alongside the students, teachers, parents, and community members of Cherry Drive Elementary to continue all the success and build new challenges together for our students to achieve. I am happy to call Colorado my home and be part of the Cherry Drive community.
Sincerely,
Christine Jepsen
